This presentation will clarify which skills students and graduates need in order to cope with the continuous development and constant adaptation to new situations in working life. At the same time, it will show how students can acquire future skills.

  • Thomas Schmidtgall works at the Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena in the area of strategic internationalization and European cooperation. Before, he was deputy head of the center for key competencies and university didactics at Saarland University where he also held a position as a research associate in the field of intercultural communication; He studied French Cultural Studies and Intercultural Communication, Spanish Linguistics as well as Business Administration in Paris, Saarbrücken and Barcelona and holds a PhD in (Romance) Cultural Studies/Intercultural Communication.
